UCANACT
UCANACT develops AI-powered neurotechnology that helps people with severe motor disabilities regain their digital independence. Paired with a wearable or an implant, UCANACT’s software turns a user’s intent into action on their own devices, so they can communicate, use everyday apps and stay connected with family. Building on brain-computer interface research at UMC Utrecht, the team develops the technology for use at home and in daily life. UCANACT won the UREKA Megachallenge 2025 and ASC 2026, and received an NWO Take-off grant.
