TTT-AI is a national initiative to transform research into new ventures

Thematic Technology Transfer Artificial Intelligence (TTT-AI) is a collaborative alliance between the Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) of Dutch universities and medical centres, national research institute TNO, and LUMO Labs.

To allow research-based ideas to bloom, the Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) of these institutions have joined forces. This national approach has resulted in a three stage incubation program and the TTT-AI Investment Fund which aim to build the best AI spin-offs.

See our FAQ section if you have any questions
A dedicated and tailor-made approach that suits your needs

TTT-AI’s strategy centres on a dedicated and tailor-made approach that fits the specific needs of ideas for new ventures. By combining their services, expertise, resources and networks, the KTOs together with the TTT-AI project team are the driving force behind the TTT-AI program.

Besides individual support, the program offers group training and workshops with an emphasis on entrepreneurial skills, as well as matchmaking and networking events.

TTT-AI aims to turn ideas into spin-offs, not researchers into entrepreneurs

Unlike other incubation programs, TTT-AI does not expect researchers to transform into entrepreneurs. TTT-AI’s team will actively nurture and support ideas, resulting in an investor-ready start-up. The level of engagement in this new venture is up to the researcher.

Start-ups’ investment needs are met with the TTT-AI Investment Fund

If you have just started a new business, it can be challenging to find investors. Risk capital is especially hard to come by. Therefore, the TTT-AI Investment Fund helps early start-ups grow into a start-up with customers. LUMO Labs manages the TTT-AI Investment Fund independently from the TTT-AI incubation program. While the fund is designed for the TTT-AI program, it is open to all Dutch AI start-ups without revenues that need early-stage investment.

The TTT-AI program is funded through the Thematic Technology Transfer program of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and financed with a subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
